The Academy of International Affairs NRW was once again represented this year with a stand at the United Nations Day event organised by the City of Bonn. The Academy’s team, along with our fellows Zarina Burkadze, Cécile Pélaudeix, Tuhin Giri and Pascal da Rocha, were once again able to exchange views with our partner organisations and the many institutions that make Bonn an international hub: the Association of Development Services (Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Entwicklungsdienste e.V.), the Federal Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ GmbH), the German UNESCO Commission, Deutsche Welthungerhilfe, German Society of the
United Nations (DGNV), Engagement Global, German Doctors, German Institute of Development and Sustainability (IDOS), ROTARY CLUB BONN INTERNATIONAL, Senior Expert Service (SES), UNESCO-UNEVOC, UNICEF, Centre for Development Research (ZEF, University of Bonn). We had many stimulating and fascinating conversations with the people of Bonn, to whom we were able to present and explain the work of the Academy. A big thank you goes to the City of Bonn for organising this event again this year, particularly to mark the special occasion of 30 years of the United Nations in Bonn.
